MR. ROGERS’ NEIGHBORHOOD

March 16, 2020 | Memo

This feels different from anything we’ve ever been through.  But I feel if we all dig deep, think deep, and find our inner silence, we’ll get through this just fine, and even come out on the other side better off.

Maybe that’s the good news.  We’re going to be staying home more and avoiding crowds more, sounds like a sabbatical, a retreat, a time for reflection and quiet.  We can come out of this richer.

Remember Mr. Rogers, the Presbyterian minister whose TV show, “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” ran for an amazing 33 years.  Here’s my favourite Mr. Rogers quote:

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers.  You will always find people who are helping.

We know our clients well, and it warms our hearts to picture you all finding ways to be a helper.  Thanks for your encouragement.  You are always the role models that inspire Terry and me.

Terry called a client the other day, and found that he was busy talking to his friends and encouraging them to be patient and hold on to their investments.  Isn’t that amazing.

Thank you, and please stay in touch, we love hearing from you, especially in this challenging
