Everyone should watch David Christian’s Ted Talk, “The History of Our World in 18 Minutes”. It’s fascinating…and enlightening. It wonderfully puts everything in perspective. Fourteen billion years of history, from the Big Bang to the luxurious middle class lifestyle spreading throughout the world over the past 200 years.
Yes, our middle class lifestyle is barely 200 years old. It started with the Industrial Revolution in the late 1700s (largely due to figuring out how to produce energy by burning fossil fuels – coal, oil and gas).
Today, as wealth continues to pile up, the pace of change is increasing at an increasing rate. Knowledge and technology is exponentially increasing.
Our goal at BluestoneFinancial, securing wealth and enjoying well-being together with our clients, would not have been possible 100 years ago, probably not even 50 years ago. Amazing isn’t it, to think that today we can “be rich”. And we can help our loved ones on their journey to “be rich”.
